FREE personal safety workshop for women - Saturday 14th September

The session will be led by Jo Cox and Hayley Bentley from Ilkeston-based A.C.E Personal Safety Training - a small, locally run, non-profit making organisation, specialising in personal safety.

ACE was set up after a perceived need to raise awareness about personal safety issues, particularly those affecting Women in today’s society.

The organisation has first hand experience of the devastation that can happen to someone when their personal safety is compromised so, if they can prevent just one person becoming a future victim of unnecessary violence or crime then they have succeeded in our message.

Passionate about safety for women and committed to doing what we can to address the many social and personal issues that arise within today’s society ACE stands for Awareness, Confidence and Empowerment - objectives aspired to provide and improve, for every Workshop participant. 

ACE advocates that ‘Prevention is better that cure’ and part of the Workshop looks at participants risk assessing and evaluating situations and agendas throughout their daily lives.
