A new What’s On guide for Erewash

A NEW listings guide for all the great things happening in Erewash this Summer has been launched by the borough council.

Councillor Josy Hare, who is Lead Member for Health and Wellbeing, urged fans of music, culture and sport to keep checking the guide – which already lists almost TWO HUNDRED events and activities. 

It will be regularly updated by the town hall’s Community Health and Wellbeing Development team – with a focus on things all the family can do. The council is keen for it to be a comprehensive guide so is encouraging event organisers to get involved by submitting details. 

Councillor Hare said: “There are loads of summer events all over Erewash, some of which may be a surprise to those who wrongly think there is not much happening in our fantastic borough. Our team realised residents simply did not know where to find out about all the health and wellbeing activities.”

The mission of the council’s Community Health and Wellbeing Development team is to empower people to make positive and healthy lifestyle choices. The team works in collaboration with local partners and organisations to provide sport, physical activity and health-related opportunities throughout the borough.
