Police swoop in Long Eaton to apply 'Misuse of drugs' warrant

Long Eaton Police officers have acted swiftly to enforce a Section 23 Misuse of Drugs Act warrant.

The operation on the morning of Friday 15th November in the Town Centre needed quick action to gain access to the property, so entry was forced.

On entry, a quantity of suspected Class A drugs, were seized, which will allow a resulting investigation to continue.

A statement from the Long Eaton Safer Neighbourhood Team for Derbyshire Police said: "This action forms part of our approach to addressing drug related issues through pro-active enforcement".  It called on anyone with information about drugs being dealt in our community to contact them in confidence at any time or report to Crimestoppers.
