Police appeal after widespread drain cover thefts in Ilkeston and Long Eaton

Police officers in Long Eaton are appealing for witnesses to come forward in relation to a series of thefts of drain covers in both Ilkeston and Long Eaton around the 24th July 2023, thefts alleged to have occurred in a number of locations.

In Long Eaton, Collingwood Road, Grasmere Road, Laurel Crescent, Lodge Road, Lynden Avenue, Quarndon Crescent, Thoresby Road, Windermere Road and Wyvern Avenue were referenced in list contained within a statement, whilst in Ilkeston, covers have gone missing in Furnace Road.

Anyone with any information which can help the investigation, including CCTV or dashcam footage, is being asked to contact Police on any of the following contact points quoting reference: 23*457607
