Neighbourhood Policing Week sees PCSO talk in code at Borrowash school

Police officers from the Long Eaton Safer Neighbourhood Team have paid a visit to a Borrowash school as part of Neighbourhood Policing Week.

A statement said that an important part of the team role is to liaise with local schools to provide advice and safety education, with regular visits made to speak with students and teachers about any issues that they may have and to offer formal educational inputs.

On Tuesday 23rd January, PCSO Coggins went to Ashbrook Junior School in Victoria Avenue, Borrowash to give all the students a less on road safety, and specifically to detail the long-standing Green Cross Code.  He explained to children the details of ways to stay safe when crossing the road and the dangers that are present, and offered thanks to everyone who took part.
