Industrial premises reveal further cannabis grow in Erewash

Found and removed - an illegal cannabis farm in a Long Eaton industrial building

Police officers from the Long Eaton Safer Neighbourhood Team have targeted another cannabis grow, this time in industrial premises, following ongoing investigations and reports of suspicious activity from members of the local community.

Upon responding to reports by attending the property, items found included a mobile telephone which was seized, along with details of an individual at the premises who will be helping with our ongoing investigation.

Inside, the property had been kitted out with equipment to allow the production of cannabis. Approximately 50 mature plants were seized and have since been sent for destruction.

A statement from the Long Eaton SNT thanked local residents and members of the community who come together to help tackle crime within their area. It added: "This kind of information is invaluable when combined with our own intelligence and investigations."
