Further dispersal order put into place over first weekend in September

A further dispersal order has been put into place in Ilkeston over the course of the first weekend in September after incidents of anti-social behaviour in the area.

Local Police Officers have received a high number of calls in relation to anti-social behaviour in Ilkeston, Cotmanhay and Bennerley Viaduct and a dispersal order was authorised for the areas shown on the maps shown here.

The order runs from 5pm on Friday 1st September until 5pm on Sunday 3rd September – and allows police to disperse people from the stated areas, and, if they are involved in instances of anti-social behaviour, take anyone under 16 back to their home.

A dispersal order can only be authorised for a maximum period of 48 hours but at the point of expiry, an assessment can be carried out and a further period of up to 48 hours can be authorised if necessary.
