Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service listed in Top 50 Inclusive Employers Index

Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service (DFRS) has been ranked 39th in the Inclusive Top 50 Employers Index 2021.

The Index, which showcases the top 50 leading organisations working across all strands of diversity including age, disability, gender, LGBT+, race, faith, and religion, identifies organisations that are the true leaders of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion. 

Area Manager Clive Stanbrook said: “A Top 50 ranking is a fantastic achievement for DFRS and testament to the work taking place across the Service to develop a positive culture, welcome challenge, and encourage diversity in recruitment, development and promotion.”

An advisory panel reviewed the Service’s submission for the Index which included, the signing of a Disability Charter, active Employee Networks and Positive Action workshops to encourage job applications from underrepresented groups. 

Area Manager Stanbrook went on to say: “This good news comes a matter of days since the Service received an Outstanding Workplace Award following its bi-annual cultural survey, and just over a month since it was awarded a Gold Standard enei TIDEmark – these awards are all continued evidence that DFRS is an excellent and inclusive place to work, adopting a People First approach to both its employees and the diverse communities it serves.”
