Derby College Group recently wrapped up an exciting and highly successful Freshers’ Week, filled with energy and enthusiasm at the Broomfield Hall campus in Morley as well as the Joseph Wright and Roundhouse sites in Derby City Centre.
The event brought together students, local and national businesses, teaching teams, and college support services in a vibrant showcase of community and collaboration.
With a diverse range of activities and opportunities, Freshers’ Week helped students feel welcomed, supported, and ready for an exciting academic year ahead. The strong involvement of local businesses and college departments highlighted Derby College’s commitment to fostering connections that enhance both the student experience and the long-term success of their experience at the College.
There was support from many organisations with the aim to enhance the student experience. Employers alongside public services such as the Army and the Police, were on hand to provide insight into career paths and community engagement opportunities. The event also saw strong representation from Deaf Access and Learning Support, ensuring inclusivity for all students.
