After delays caused by the impact of the coronavirus pandemic, and despite having already taken to the air, two Erewash Sound presenters have been awarded their Erewash Sound Academy certificates for completing a Radio Presenter Skills Course.

Jolieanna Davis is now a regular on both weekday daytime and late evening programming, whilst Kevin Hopcroft is the host of the Wednesday night Goldmine show which explores music and memories from the 1960s and 1970s.

Both were handed their certificates at a recent ceremony at the Media Centre in Cotmanhay, hosted by Academy trainer, station manager, presenter and radio station co-founder Jeff Martin.

The Erewash Sound Academy is NCFE accredited and also offers a range of training and skills-based courses in a variety of elements, which have set paths into employment, both within the broadcast media sector and outside of it, for many previous and current members of the team as well as those from outside the radio station membership structure.

Dates and details of Autumn 2021 Erewash Sound Academy courses are set to be released soon.

For more information on training programmes and to declare interest in becoming a forthcoming Academy graduate, send e-mail to recruitment@erewashsound.com.
