Arrest made, but Police continue to appeal after a man was left with serious injuries in Cotmanhay

A man has been arrested on suspicion of exacting grievous bodily harm.

The 30 year old was detained on Monday but subsequently released on Police bail pending further enquiries.

The arrest came after a man in his 50s was hospitalised in a serious but stable condition after being found at his home in Skeavingtons Lane, Cotmanhay just a few days earlier on Saturday 28th December.

Despite detaining a man, Police officers from the Ilkeston Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team are continuing to appeal for information, particularly covering the hours between 7:00pm on Christmas Day and 1:35pm on that Saturday
