Are you an Oddfellow?

Are you an Oddfellow? If not - why not? The local branch is called the Pares Lodge and are celebrating their 200th anniversary in 2010. The group meets on the 2nd Monday of each month at 7:30pm at the Rose & Crown in Draycott. After a short business meeting, a number of social events are held.

On Monday 12th April, ten members played the ever popular board game 'Rummicubs' with prizes being won by Mrs. Ann Bricknell and Mrs, Val Wilson, and at the meeting for May, there was a dominoes session, open to non-members.

The Pares Lodge also occasionally joins up with the County and National Oddfellows and last year, enjoyed a 4 day trip to Bruges, a trip to Gardeners World Live, Christmas Extravaganza at Belvoir (Beaver) Castle, a dinner and dance in Derby and many other events too numerous to mention - all activities fit in with the motto 'Fellowship and Friendship'. So why not come along on the 2nd Monday of every month in Draycott and experience some of it!
