
Police officers in Erewash are appealing for anyone with information about an assault in Kirk Hallam to contact them as part of an investigation.
A call was received shortly before 7pm on Monday 9th October to report an assault in Godfrey Drive after a van collided with a black Vauxhall Astra before going onto a grass verge and hitting a man.
An investigation has been launched into the incident with increased patrols deployed to the area over the following days.
The incident is being treated as isolated and there is not thought to be a wider threat to the community, however, residents have been told that they should raise any concerns with any officers seen in the area.
As part of the investigation, police officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed what happened or has any CCTV or dashcam footage, to contact them as the information could be vital to enquiries.
