Police officers in Ilkeston have released an image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with an assault in the town.
On Wednesday 19th July at around 7:15pm, near to the Erewash Museum on the steps leading from Chalons Way, a man is reported to have verbally abused a 12-year-old boy. He then grabbed his rucksack and placed him in a headlock.
The man officers would like to trace is described as 5ft 8ins tall, of a skinny build, wearing a cycle helmet, cycling glasses, a cycling top and black and yellow cycling shorts.
It is thought that there may be witnesses to this incident from members of a local cycling group.
