Police officers are appealing for information after a report of sexual assault in the Long Eaton area.
A teenage girl reported that she was walking along Longmoor Lane when a teenage boy began following her past the Bridge Inn pub and on to the path towards Springfield Park.
At the entrance of Springfield Park, he assaulted her before she managed to run away.
The boy, who was with another person, then ran in the opposite direction towards the Bridge Inn pub.
He is described as white, between 5ft 5ins to 5ft 7ins tall, and of medium build. He had brown hair – short at the back and sides, a very pale complexion and freckles, prominent front teeth, and was wearing a burgundy, blue and white tracksuit.
The incident happened between 3.30pm and 4.10pm on Friday 27th September.
Inspector Matt Ladd from Long Eaton Safer Neighbourhood team said: “Reports such as this are always concerning for the local community and as a result you will see an increased police presence in the area in the coming days.
“I can say that we are treating this as an isolated incident and would encourage anyone with concerns to speak with local officers.
“We are very keen to hear from anyone who recognises the description of the person above, or who has been driving in the area at the time and may have dash cam which will be useful to officers. If you have any information, please contact us via one of the methods below – with reference 24*578392:"
